Doctor of Chiropractic. Licensed and practicing in the state of Florida, Dr. Scott O. Elliott graduated with honors from Cleveland Chiropractic college in Los Angeles, CA. He served on the Board of Directors for the California Chiropractic Association and has been recognized for clinical excellence and outstanding service to the profession. Dr. Elliott was also a part of an integrated physical medicine team where he treated less fortunate citizens using a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management and corrective musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Mark Elliott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, CA. Licensed in the state of Florida, he is the primary treating physician and back pain doctor at the Tampa Bay Spine and Injury Brandon location. While in school, Dr. Elliott participated as a treating intern in a research trial that studied the effects of chiropractic care in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. He has worked as a volunteer in an integrative medical setting managing chronic pain patients and focuses on a functional approach to pain management and postural rehabilitation.
Dr. Robert De Stefano, Jr. D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic. Licensed and practicing in the state of Florida, Dr. Robert De Stefano Jr. graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. While in school, Dr. De Stefano served as the President of the Student Government Association, the Vice President of the philosophical society, and an academic advisory committee member. He was the primary victor of the Chiropractic philosophy and patient education lecture competition, an ambassador for prospective scholars, and the receiver of the Service Distinction Award for contributions to Sherman College and the local community. He has participated in mission trips to the Dominican Republic and India, providing Chiropractic care to underprivileged natives; from infants to the elderly. His sports background, training on extremity adjusting, and certification in the activator technique allows him to treat every patient as an individual.
Dr. Rizzo is a Board Certified physician, recognized by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area for over twenty years and has extensive experience through his work in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Primary Care. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York. He received his Medical Doctorate degree in New York City at the State University of New York and completed his post-graduate training at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, New Jersey.
Dr. Rizzo is enthusiastic about providing the most optimal medical management for his patients, using a multi-disciplinary approach, so that they may be able to resume their normal daily activities and continue to lead productive and satisfying lives. His treatment modalities are in strict accordance with the established protocols and expected standards of care. His compassionate care, clinical skills, and empathy have resulted in the outstanding reputation he maintains with his patients and referring physicians in our area. Dr. Erin Gambetti is licensed and practicing in the state of Florida as a physical therapist and athletic trainer. From 2011 to 2015, she worked as the Manager of Athlete Care for the Women’s Tennis Association working with the top elite female tennis players in the world. She provided rehabilitation services to female tennis players at international tournaments and worked as the lead physical therapist at several of the Grand Slams including the US Open, Australian Open, and Roland Garros. She completed a sports physical therapy residency with St. Luke’s Sports Medicine in Boise, ID. She provided physical therapy services to the Idaho Steelheads and Idaho Stampede in addition to the community and a local high school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Boston University and graduated with honors from the University of Miami with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is certified as a Sports Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Dr. Ron Chatterjee went to Kent State University for his Bachelor’s of Science of as part of a six year B.S.M.D. program. He completed his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. In between, he studied abroad at Leicester University in Leicester, England.
Dr. Chatterjee went on to do a transitional year internship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Chatterjee then finished a one year fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at Ahwatukee Sports and Spine in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Chatterjee is a member of the International Spine Intervention Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Florida Medical Society. He has participated in national conventions for standards, improvement, and research of spine care.
Dr. Chatterjee specializes in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain syndromes through a variety of techniques. His goal is to quickly relieve pain and restore function to his patients. From the training he received, his focus is on pain originating from the spine and affecting any part of the body, although he has a strong ability to assess all types of pain and distinguishing its source. He also has expertise in the management of sports-related injuries, and has been the team physicians for high school football and independent professional baseball teams. His education in physical medicine and rehabilitation has allowed him to help patients successfully improve their quality of life and be as independent as possible through multiple modalities. Dr. Chatterjee is a physician that will always spend extra time with patients making sure their problems are addressed and ensuring they receive the best care available.
Dr. Shroyer is originally from Cincinnati, OH. She completed her Bachelors of Science from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Shroyer received her Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. She then completed a four year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, where she was chief resident. She then completed a two year ACGME accredited fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL where she was the chief fellow. She is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. She served three years as voluntary faculty at University of South Florida teaching fellows in the pain medicine program.
Given her background as a physiatrist, Dr. Shroyer’s passion is to help patients regain function, whether it’s return to work or return to play. Dr. Shroyer is committed to lifelong learning, and attends many medical conferences each year to learn new techniques for treating chronic pain.
Dr. Shroyer uses a multidisciplinary approach to treat acute and chronic pain conditions such as neck and back pain, headaches, arthritis, neuropathy, joint pain, complex regional pain syndrome (RSD), cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, vertebral compression fractures, sacroilitis.
Dr. Shroyer is trained to perform minimally invasive procedures with the use of fluoroscopy, such as epidural steroid injections, facet injections, sympathetic blocks, intercostal nerve blocks, Spinal Cord Simulation, Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty, sacroiliac joint injections and radiofrequency ablation all under the guidance of fluoroscopy. She is trained to inject Botox for the treatment of chronic migraine and spasticity. She uses minimally invasive procedures in conjunction with alternative modalities of treatment such as physical therapy, chiropractic manipulation, and therapeutic massage to improve pain.
Esther Kim is a Certified Athletic Trainer who joined Tampa Bay Spine & Injury in June 2014 with 6 years of injury and preventative rehabilitation experience. Ms. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Florida State University in 2011. During her time at FSU, she worked with the women’s basketball, track and field, swimming and diving, football, and women’s soccer teams. Ms. Kim spent two years as a Resident Athletic Trainer with the University of South Florida from 2012-2014 working with the cross country and track and field teams. Esther earned her Master of Medical Sciences with a concentration in Pediatric Sports Medicine in May 2014. Ms. Kim also served as a preceptor and clinical instructor to the USF Athletic Training Education Program. For one year prior to joining USF Athletic Training Program, Esther held the Resident Athletic Trainer position at a chiropractic clinic in Pittsburgh, PA. She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainer Association since 2011 and has been licensed to practice in Florida since 2012. Ms. Kim also assists patients with our St. Petersburg and Brandon FL chiropractor in sports injury treatment.
